# Switching to Sable

> A Sable specialist moves your book from your old booking platform, with your written permission and your login handled safely.

Moving from Vagaro, Square, Boulevard, GlossGenius, Mangomint, Fresha, or
another booking platform? A Sable migration specialist moves your business
for you: your team, clients, services, blocked time, upcoming appointments,
and past visit history. You stay on the phone for a short call; the
specialist does the rest.

## Ask for your move

When you create your Sable account, tell us which platform you use today and
choose to have Sable move your book for you. You can also agree there to
texts from Sable about your move. If you do, you'll get a text confirming we
received your request, and your specialist can text you with questions while
they work. Reply STOP at any time to turn those texts off.

## What you'll receive

When your specialist is ready, Sable emails the account owner a message
titled **Authorize your move from \[your platform] to Sable**. It always goes
to the owner email on your Sable account, and it names the specialist
working with you. The link in it is yours alone and works for seven days.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Read and sign">
    Open **Review and sign**. The page shows the Migration Authorization:
    what the specialist will do in your old account (view and export your
    information) and what they will never do (change settings, contact your
    clients, move appointments, or touch payments). Sign in the signature box
    with your finger or mouse, then select **I agree**. You sign as the owner
    named on your Sable account. No Sable sign-in is needed.

    One box on the page is optional: check it only if your clients opted in
    to marketing messages on your old platform and you want those opt-ins to
    carry over. Leave it unchecked and no client is opted in to marketing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your old platform's login">
    On the same page, enter the sign-in page, username, and password for your
    old platform. Add a note if the specialist should know something, like
    "codes go to my cell." The page never shows your login back, even to you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep your phone nearby on the call">
    Most platforms send a verification code when someone signs in from a new
    device. During your scheduled call, share that code with your specialist.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Sable emails you a copy of what you signed, with the date and time, and
keeps the signed page with your signature on file.

## What happens to your login

* It is encrypted as soon as you submit it.
* Only the specialist assigned to your move can view it, one piece at a
  time, and every view is recorded.
* It is never sent by email or text, and never given to any automated
  system.
* It stays stored until your information has been moved into Sable, so your
  specialist can go back in if anything was missed. It is deleted as soon as
  your move is complete, or 14 days after you entered it, whichever comes
  first.

Sable emails you when your login is deleted. **We recommend changing your old
platform's password at that point.**

Need to replace the login you entered (for example, after changing the
password)? Open the same link again within those 14 days and select
**Replace login**.

## If your link doesn't work

* **This link has expired.** Links work for seven days. Ask your specialist
  to send a new one.
* **A newer link was sent.** Each new email replaces the one before it. Open
  the most recent email from Sable.
* **This authorization is complete.** Your move is finished and your login
  has already been deleted. Nothing else is needed.

To withdraw your authorization at any time, tell your specialist or email
[support@sable.salon](mailto:support@sable.salon). Your login is deleted right away.

## After your move

Review your clients, services, team, and upcoming appointments in Sable and
tell your specialist about anything that looks off. When you're happy, you
can cancel your old platform's subscription whenever you choose.
