How the switches work
Alerts are grouped into appointments, clients and forms, payments, payouts, booth rent, and inventory. Each alert has a switch for owners, managers, front desk, and stylists.- Every switch starts on, so alerts reach the same people they always have until you change something.
- Turning a switch off stops that alert for everyone in that role: no push, no notification list entry, and no change to the badge count.
- A switch decides who gets an alert, never who can see a record. Stylists get alerts about their own appointments and clients only, whatever the switches say.
- Turning a switch back on starts that alert fresh for the role. Alerts sent while it was off are marked as read, so nobody gets a pile of old ones.
- A greyed switch belongs to a role that doesn’t receive that alert. Payout alerts, for example, go to the owner.
- The owner always gets new chargeback alerts, so a response deadline is never missed. That cell shows Always. Lost dispute alerts always reach everyone who gets them today.
- Custom roles aren’t covered by these switches and always get the alerts their permissions allow.
- Each person can still mute alerts for themselves from the notification settings in the bell.
