Open Jules, attach your files with the + button, and tell her what you want: “Add these to my inventory and services.” Jules reads the files, tells you what she found, asks about anything she needs, and saves everything after one approval. There is nothing to choose up front: a spreadsheet of products, a PDF of your service menu, or both in one message all work the same way.

Prepare your files

Catalog imports accept CSV, Excel XLSX, and PDF, including scanned PDFs. Save older Excel XLS files as XLSX first. Attach up to five files in one message, with 1 GB per file and 10,000 source rows across them. Here, 1 GB means 1,000,000,000 bytes. There is no fixed limit on the number of worksheets. Products and services can share a message. For sections within a worksheet or CSV, put a blank row before each new section’s headings. Each file uploads as soon as you attach it, so a large spreadsheet is ready by the time you have typed your request. Remove a file with the x on its chip. A damaged, password-protected, very dense, or unusable file can fail even when it is within the upload limit; Jules says which file and why, and the rest of the import continues. A client list keeps its own importer: attach it on its own and Jules opens the client import as before. A PDF attached on its own is something Jules can read and answer questions about; ask her to import it and she prepares it the same way.

Jules tells you what she found

While she reads, each file shows its progress in the chat. Then Jules shows a card with every file, how many products and services it holds, how many are new, how many are already in Sable, and how many need a look. View list opens the full review.

Answer her questions in the chat

Jules groups what she needs to know and asks one question at a time, with the answers as buttons:
  • Products you already stock: should the counts in the file replace what you have, or add to it? You can also leave stock as it is.
  • Services already on your menu at a different price: use the file’s prices, or keep yours. The card shows the current price beside the new one.
  • A scanned PDF: one question for the whole file, with a few of its rows, so you can confirm they look right in a single tap.
  • Any single value she is not sure she read correctly, so you can confirm it.
Missing facts are asked in words. Tell her the sizes, prices or minutes (“No.3 is 100 ml, K18 is 50 ml”) and she sets them. Blank prices and quantities are never treated as zero.

Review the list

View list opens the review beside the chat. Products and services have their own tabs. Products are grouped by type on the left, and each type shows the details that matter for it: shade and line for color, volume for developer, kind and size for hair care. When a file does not say what a product is, Jules works it out from its name, brand and line (a “Koleston Perfect 6/0” is a color with shade 6/0, a “20 vol” is a developer) and fills in the details the name gives her. Anything she cannot place lands under Other, where you can pick its type. A changed value shows what Sable has now, struck through, next to what the file says. A row that still needs something shows what to add. A product or service the file lists exactly as Sable already has it, down to the stock count, shows No change: it is left as it is and is not counted among the changes. Filter by Needs attention, Changes, New or Left out. Click a row to edit it: change its type, size, use (backbar, retail or both), price, cost or stock, then Save. Leave out keeps a row from importing; the checkbox on each row does the same. Jules keeps working while the list is open: tell her “all the Koleston went up to $8.75” and the rows update in place. On a phone the review is a full-height sheet, and tapping a row opens its own screen. Booth renters import into their own product catalog and service menu. The salon’s same-named product or barcode stays separate. Product costs and stock changes follow your account’s access. For services, review price, minutes, whether the service is an add-on, booking page visibility, and who offers it. New primary services use the usual public default, and new add-ons use the private default. Renter-owned services are offered by their owner; salon assignments follow the current salon setting or the eligible salon providers you select.

Approve once

When nothing is left to answer, Jules offers one approval card in the chat with the counts: new and updated products, new and updated services, stock changes and rows left out. View list on the card opens the review one more time. Approve saves the selected, validated products and services together, including their reviewed stock changes, up to 500 unique rows per approval. Rows with unresolved problems stay out and are listed. Afterwards Jules confirms what was saved, with buttons to open your inventory, your services, or your import history. If prices, stock, assignments or access change before saving, Jules refreshes the review and asks you to approve the new values. If saving fails, none of the selected changes are saved; the draft stays available to review and retry. Approving the same import twice returns its saved result and never adds products or stock again.

Import history

Import history lists every import in one place, newest first: products and services imported through Jules alongside client lists, with the date, who ran it, and the files. Open an entry to see what was saved, where each row came from, and what was left out and why. Use the ordinary product, stock, or service editor to make later corrections. Still stuck?
