An invite is a personal booking link for one client. It opens your booking page the way you set it up for her: on the stylist you picked, showing that stylist’s services and times. Send it in a text, an email, or wherever you already talk to her. Invites are how an invite-only book stays open to the people you want in it. Set Who can book to Invite only in your booking page settings, and your regulars keep booking themselves while everyone else comes through you.

Invite from a client profile

1

Open the client

Go to Clients and open the person you want to invite. On iPhone and iPad, the same profile is a tap away from Clients or from an appointment.
2

Choose Invite

Select Invite to book in the row of actions at the top of the profile, next to Book appointment and Message.
3

Pick the stylist

Choose the stylist the invite is for. Whole salon lets the client book with anyone your page offers. Stylists who manage their own book invite for themselves, so the choice is already made for them.Sable starts on the client’s preferred stylist when she has one.
4

Set an expiry, or don't

An invite stays good until it’s used. Turn on Set an expiry and pick a date when you want it to close on its own, which suits a “this week only” opening.
5

Create it

Select Create. Sable mints the link and shows it to you right away.

Send it

Once the invite exists, you have three ways to get it to the client:
  • Send by text sends it from your salon’s number, in the conversation she already has with you. Texting needs her mobile number on file and her agreement to receive texts. If she gave you that permission in person or on your old system, tap Send by text and confirm it on the spot, or record it any time from her profile under Texts. See SMS consent and conversations.
  • Send by email sends it from your salon, with your name on it.
  • Copy link puts it on your clipboard for a DM, a note, or anywhere else you talk. Share hands it to the share sheet on iPhone and iPad.
Every invite you have out for a client is listed on her profile with who it’s for, when it went out, and the same actions, so you can send it again from there.

What the client sees

The link opens your booking page on the stylist you chose, with only that stylist’s services and available times. Booking finishes the way any online booking does: she picks a service and a time, and the appointment lands on that stylist’s calendar under your deposit and card policies. An invite for the whole salon opens your full page instead.

One booking per invite

An invite is used up by the appointment it books. That keeps a private link private: forwarded to a friend after the fact, it opens your page and asks for a new invite rather than handing over another booking. Send the same client a fresh invite whenever you want her to book again.

Invite from an approved application

Set a form’s Approval to Add to clients and enable booking, and approving a submission creates the client and mints her invite in one step. The link appears on the approved response, ready to copy or share. When the form belongs to a stylist, the invite is for that stylist. See Intake forms for building the form and approving what comes in.

Invite from the waitlist

Set the form’s Approval to Add to clients and their waitlist instead, and approving puts the person in line with that stylist. You invite her from ClientsWaitlist when an opening actually appears, with the same link, text, and email actions. See From application to booked.

Revoke an invite

Select Revoke on the invite in the client’s profile. The link stops working immediately, and the client sees your booking page ask for an invite. Revoking one invite leaves every other invite alone.

Common questions

Who can invite? Owners, managers, and front desk invite for anyone on the team. Stylists and booth renters who manage their own book invite for themselves, for their own clients. Can I invite someone who isn’t a client yet? Add her in Clients first, or let an application form do it: approving one creates the client and her invite together. Does an invite change my booking page for everyone else? No. It opens one door for one client. Who can book still decides what everyone else sees. Still stuck?
