First, the shared foundation
Work through the solo setup for the business itself: business details in Settings, the service menu in Services, and your booking page. For a team, add one habit: when you create services, think about who performs them. Service assignments decide what clients can book with each stylist.Understand roles before adding people
Everyone in your workspace has a role, and the role decides what they can see and do:
Custom roles exist too, for salons that divide responsibility differently.
Your team lives in Team
Open Team in the sidebar. The tabs across the top cover the whole employment side of the business:- Overview: team size, pending commissions, hours tracked this pay period, and rent due.
- Staff: the roster. Each person’s role, whether they rent a booth, their time mode (a set schedule, or clock in and out), and their commission arrangement (percentage or flat).
- Commissions: records waiting on your approval before payroll.
- Time: tracked hours for hourly team members.
- Booth Rent: agreements, amounts due, and who’s overdue.
- Payroll: pay-period readiness, built from the tabs above.
Team members join Sable by invitation. During beta, we set your team up
with you as part of onboarding, so have your roster and roles ready and
everyone’s in place from day one.
Decide what clients can book online
With multiple stylists, your booking page does more work: clients pick a service and a time, and the times on offer come from your team’s schedules and service assignments. Before you publish, check that each stylist’s bookable services and hours look right, then follow Publish your online booking page. You’re done when
- Every person on your team appears in Team with the right role
- Booth renters are marked as booth renters, with rent agreements in place
- Commission arrangements on the Staff tab match what you actually pay
- A test booking for a specific stylist lands on that stylist’s calendar
