A time block marks time that isn’t an appointment, and online booking treats it as busy. A block can repeat, and owners and managers can put one block on the whole team or a few people at once. Holidays sit in a slim row at the top of each day so you can plan around them.

Make a block repeat

When you add a block (Add → Block time), choose repeat:
  • does not repeat
  • daily
  • weekly on the block’s weekday
  • every weekday (monday to friday)
  • custom, to pick the weekdays, how many weeks apart (every 2 weeks, for example), and when it ends: never, on a date, or after a number of times
A repeating block starts and ends on the same day. A block that never ends keeps going: Sable always has it on the calendar at least a year ahead. Every day of it stops online booking exactly like a single block. Blocks that repeat show a small repeat mark on the calendar.

Change, move, or remove one day of a repeating block

When you save a change, drag a repeating block, or remove it, Sable asks which days you mean, the way Google Calendar does:
  • this block: only the day you opened
  • this and following blocks: this day and every one after it
  • all blocks: every day, earlier ones included
Changing the repeat itself (its weekdays, spacing, or end) applies to this and following blocks or all blocks.

Block time for the whole team or a group

Owners and managers see who when they add a block:
  • just the stylist you picked
  • whole team: everyone on the calendar, booth renters included
  • pick people: only the stylists you tick
The block appears in each person’s column and closes their online booking for that time. It is one shared block: edit it once and everyone’s copy changes. When you remove it, choose remove for everyone or remove just for the person whose column you opened. Team and group blocks can repeat too, so a weekly team meeting is one block. Stylists and booth renters see a team block on their own calendar and leave it to an owner or manager to change. A team block changes only who can be booked and when; it never touches a booth renter’s payments or payouts.

Holidays

The row under the dates shows holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, plus Valentine’s Day, Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. When a federal holiday falls on a weekend, the weekday it is observed on shows an (observed) card too. Holidays are a reminder only. Your booking page stays open on a holiday unless you block the time. To close the salon for a day, add a whole team block. Owners and managers can hide holidays for everyone in settings → scheduling → calendar → show holidays. Still stuck? Visit the Help Center to submit a support ticket.
